Download Camp Schedule, Registration, and Release Form in Adobe pdf format. Fesmire Show Cattle Experience We appreciate your interest in Fesmire’s Show Cattle Experience. This learning experience will provide kids with the practical, skills needed to be competitive in today’s livestock shows. Only the latest methods and techniques will be taught. Hands-on training will be given with supervision at all times. Participants will be introduced to proven techniques and tips on clipping, show day dressing, showmanship, feeding and daily care. The camp session will be held December 29-31. A comprehensive schedule of events is enclosed. The cost for the program will be $250 per participant. A deposit of $125.00 per participant will be due by December 1, while the remainder is due upon arrival. We must have your deposit to guarantee your enrollment spot. Make all checks payable to Damon Fesmire. There are several things each participant will need to bring: clippers, show stick, blower and possibly a chute. Suggested clippers are Sunbeam (hairhead) with 83 and 84 AU blades, sunbeam (sheephead) with 20 TBC blade and 4 pt AAA cutter; and Andies, regular or 2 speed clippers. You are encouraged to bring your own animal. If you are unable to bring a steer/heifer please let me know so we can work something out. Lodging and meals will be provided. The entire program will be held in Bartlett, KS at our new facilities. Refer to the enclosed directions for further details. We will have separate housing for both male and female participants. We also ask that participants bring a sleeping bag and pillow and any necessary personal items (soap, shampoo, toothbrush, deodorant, towels, etc.) Each participant is required to complete a medical/liability form. The medical release form is enclosed with this letter, and must be signed by parents. Please mail the release form with your deposit. This is an absolute necessity and must be completed before anyone can participate. NO ONE WILL BE ALLOWED TO PARTICPATE WITHOUT A RELEASE FORM! We encourage all parents to attend the showmanship and fitting contest that will be held on Wednesday as a final test to see what was learned. The contest will begin at approximately 10:00 a.m. and wrap up around noon. We will provide a catered lunch for everyone immediately following the contest.
